Canon 16 - 35mm F2,8 L

This is a top class lense! Being an L series lense, one would expect an outstanding lense - and it sure is. It's a solid piece of metal and glass which delivers some of the best pics I've ever taken. Being an F2,8 lense, it is not as small as some other lenses in this range but it is much higher quality - of that there is no doubt. It's the kind of lense you'd love in your bag of tricks. On loan from Canon for a month, I tested it in Welgevonden Game Park as well as Mpumalanga and the Kruger park. I got some good results stitching photos together to make some pretty awesome panorama pics - hand held, not on a tripod.

The above pic for instance consists of 6 vertical shots, hand held and stitched by Canon software. It ended up as a 7100 x 3100 pixel photograph and one cannot see where it is stitched.
Yes, the selling price is high (around R17,000 to R18,000) however, quality doesn't come cheap. If you are looking for a quality wide angle lense, and you can afford it, this is the one to buy.
